Karen Rose - The Art of San Francisco

Karen Rose Dunked

My work focuses on the Bay Area—painting the Golden Gate without the bridge and reimagining the bay before settlement. In these landscapes, I seek solace, healing, and a vision for a better way forward. Alongside this series, my border paintings celebrate and defend my Mexican heritage while exploring landscapes shaped by conflict. I’m drawn to how human narratives unfold within and against the land itself.
