At the heart of my work is an exploration of the human landscape—how memory, identity, and technology shape our connections. As an immigrant and former software engineer in Silicon Valley, I reflect on how the digital age influences intimacy and self-perception. Growing up in post-Cultural Revolution China taught me to treasure and repair what I had, a mindset that contrasts sharply with the culture of abundance around me now. Through painting, I examine what we hold onto—objects, memories, and screens—and what we lose along the way.
