Sofia Carmi

I’ve been painting since childhood, with a background in both art and art therapy. My work has been shown internationally, across the U.S., and here in the Bay Area. I’ve also exhibited for children with cancer at UCSF Children’s Hospital in Mission Bay. Now based in an art building on Potrero Hill in San Francisco, I continue to explore the healing and connective power of visual art. I believe art is a universal language that can bring people together. Working primarily in oils, acrylics, mixed media, and watercolor, I let colors flow intuitively from within—expressing emotion and inner life through abstract, expressive forms.
